16-Week Advanced Blind Tasting Course
This 16 week advanced class will take an in depth look at wines through blind tasting. The goal of this course is to teach students how the physiological and sensory reactions to wine can offer information into where the wines come from, what grapes were used, and by what methods the wine was made.
Tasting wines each class, students are guided by their wine theory as they learn how to decipher "how did it get there?"
Students will be given a final at the end of the course. Successful completion of the course will result in an Advanced Blind Tasting certification and gold pin.
This is our advanced course for which the prerequisite is the 24-week Viticulture and Viniculture Course, or comparable course work. These students have a range of experience but all have sound knowledge and skills.
